About Me!

My name is Max Morgan Perry. I am currently a first-year trombone student at MHCC hoping to graduate by 2027. Once I graduate, I hope to move on to PSU to study Sound and Music Production.

I currently play in the MHCC Wind Ensemble where I play trombone 2. I also play in MHCC’s Stark Street Combo and Lab Band. Outside of MHCC I’m playing trombone 3 in Vancouver Washington’s Beat Rush Big Band and a local trombone choir called Gamer Bones, both focusing on videogame specific music.

Outside of playing I love writing and arranging music for my friends to play. I find myself most passionate when I’m making good music with fun people, even if the instrumentation is unique. My most recent projects have been Dragon Quest 8 overture for Trombone Choir, Snowdin theme for flute and trombone, and Hopes and Dreams for Trombone Choir.

In addition to music, I spend the rest of my time writing and publishing my own short stories as well as playing video games with my partner and best friends. My current favorites are the Dragon Quest Series, Fire Emblem Three Houses, and Metaphor Re Fantasio.
